Additionally, the infrigments on our rights, as consumers of not just music and videos but also computer harware cannot go unnoted.

Sony confirms it destroys hardware. If its damaging drives you can be assured it has the same effect on DVD and LD players. I would say this is not a Digital Audio CD that falls under the Rockridge standard.
